Jin Shin Jyutsu

®

The ancient art of Jin Shin Jyutsu was passed verbally from generation to generation before Master Jiro Murai of Japan opened the system to other selected practitioners.

Master Murai dedicated himself to the study and development of Jin Shin Jyutsu after using it to clear himself of a life-threatening illness. He taught the system to late Mary Burmeister who brought it from Japan to the United States in the early 1960's. The system is now being taught worldwide and there are thousands of students and practitioners globally.

Jin Shin Jyutsu is similar in philosophy and practice to Acupressure. This holistic system brings the body's energy (chi) back into balance. This is done by working with twenty-six Safety Energy Locks which are similar to acupoints. Jin Shin Jyutsu is a natural, safe, complement to conventional therapies that can be used to aid healing of specific conditions and in the prevention of disease. The benefits and the conditions that it can help are the same as those helped by Acupressure.

Receiving Jin Shin Jyutsu

Jin Shin Jyutsu is wonderfully relaxing and rejuvenating for mind, body and spirit. A typical session takes an hour including assessment. The work is very gentle with hands placed over the client's clothes and does not involve manipulation, massage or rubbing. At the end of the session your therapist may give you some Jin Shin Jyutsu self-help techniques.

Customer Care

The introduction of Jin Shin Jyutsu to Hands On Health has enabled Caroline to customise your care on an even deeper level. Experience has shown that some clients respond better to Jin Shin Jyutsu than Acupressure or vice versa, or a combination of both. The introduction of this art thus provides a broader spectrum of care, introducing a powerful adjunct to Acupressure in terms of client well-being and session outcome
