Sitting and Standing Meditation Classes

Sitting

Through daily meditation practice you can achieve a much more enjoyable and fulfilling life. Your mind can become clear and calm and you can feel a great sense of peace, tranquillity and contentment. Meditation helps you get in touch with your real needs, take greater control of your life and realise your full potential. It has been shown that people who meditate are much less stressed, have better health and even live longer. Meditation is an opportunity for you to experience your own unique and personal journey to a better life.

In this monthly class we will explore and practise Chinese meditation. You will learn the correct posture and technique for both sitting and standing meditation. We will also cover various health exercises to strengthen, relax and open the body in preparation for meditation. These gentle practices include healing postures, movement, self-massage, stretching and breathing techniques.

The tuition is non-religious.

Tutor

The class will be taught by Caroline Le Maistre who has practised and studied Chinese meditation for the past eight years under renowned teachers in California, China and the United Kingdom.

Course Materials

To accompany the class attendees will receive printed course sheets. If students decide to continue the meditation class an accompanying practice DVD will be handed out in the second class attendance.
